Just curious if any members out there are using AOL and its browser. Recently I have had two people report problems while trying to register and the common thread was AOL. When they click "Register", they cannot get past the policy page.
I'm not sure if this is strictly an AOL related issue or something to do with Norton security.
Anyone using AOL?
Thanks.

Yeah - I using AOL dialup at home... HATE IT.
Trouble is... don't seem to have the time to do the research to find a "good" wideband provider.
AOL gives me all kinds of problems, all the time.
Last nite I had to dial up and log on three times just to finally get access to internet (as opposed to just getting the AOL server).

I don't use it, but a couple user groups use it's club feature. When I've signed up, I get tons of spam - mostly foreign. I've quit both and the last of the spam is down to a trickle (one a week vs 10/day). Good luck - you get what you pay for..... |

This doesn't address Andy's question, but I just figured out that my spam filter had apparently begun filtering out all email with an aol.com address - so, if anyone here has tried contacting me recently and not gotten a reply, it's because I was denied the pleasure of receiving your email, not blowing you off.

And the more direct question I should have asked is, "Anyone out there using AOL who registered successfully or had problems?" |

I use AOL DSL & registered ok. Sometimes it gets sniffy about opening things, and the cure is usually just to close it, reopen and start again (or, in dire cases, reboot) |
