Hi all,

I was in the islands when the CD came out. It may not be to everyone's taste (very jazzy) but I believe that one can learn more about an instrument by hearing everything played upon it. It is truly a masterful work and worth your time.

Aloha,

Curtis

I just bought this CD and I've been listening to it all weekend. Wow! What fun! It's not traditional Hawaiian music or very "local" (although, the title track did make me think of sitting at Magic Island, just before sunrise, with a loco-moco in hand). But, it truly shows that the uke isn't some toy and much more than Tiny Tim. I was particularly impressed with his version of Paganini's Caprice No. 24. What a talent!
