You know, I should have paid more attention, but I put this date on my calendar and went to Don Quixotes this morning with all my plants and decorations to prepare for the show, only to find out there was another band playing. (I've been decorating the stage for the Hawaiian musicians as they come through town). And so it went all day, everything I tried to do turned to kaka, at least until I went to the Open Mic at the Mission Roasting Company, and got to hear all this relaxing and reinvigorating Hawaiian Music. Sigh. Another lesson learned: always double-check the gigs before I pack the car.
