This weekend we had the pleasure of hearing Chris Yeaton and friends at an intimate venue in Port Townsend, Washington. Chris acted as the master of ceremonies and was in great form, clearly enjoying himself. He played pieces from both his CD’s and also some new material.
He and Adam Werner teamed up to close with Ku’u Home ‘O Kahalu’u. His introductory remarks helped the audience understand how appropriate this song is to end a wonderful evening of music. Chris’ rendition of this standard gives it new meaning for me.
After the show we had a chance to talk with Chris and wish him a successful tour. He characteristically responded that it already is successful.
If you get a chance to hear the Woodsong Acoustics Group I highly recommended it.
