There will be if you do it <grin>.

Just jump into this thread, wave your hand wildly in the air, and shout "Me, me!"

From the previous set producer: I think the soonest you could set a deadline for submissions is around Christmas, so it would probably be a 2007 event. The last series had three CDs that included 73 cuts from 43 individuals and groups and a run of 50 CD sets to send one to all the individuals in all the groups. Most artists had two songs on the set. The workload that produced was huge and I subsequently made a number of mistakes, big and small.
Whoever does it next time might have to consider scaling it down, putting out an mp3 disc only or scaling back the insert booklet. The booklet bar was raised by the 2004 project, shepherded by cpatch, with Sarah doing the book layout.

You might want to limit it to just 1 piece by each person - make it more manageable, - and have everyone submit up to 250 words for the booklet - and just cut and paste it into an online, print it yourself booklet.

great idea with the booklet, Raymond. Saves paper and probably postage costs as well

If you do one of all original work, would you share it with the rest of us? For a fee of course.....

I already have an original tune. They're cheaper than the storebought ones.

Good title, Karl! It'll go with another tune "Da Snows of Mauna Hili", inspired byt 1/2" of snow on my truck after an 80 degreeF day last April up at Hilinai's place.
