Hollis Baker, Ukulele teacher and co-founder (along with John Ogao)
of the Northern California Ukulele Festival , passed away this New
Year's day.

Memorial service will be tomorrow in Hayward at 2:30 PM (with viewing
from 1:30 - 2:30 PM) at Chapel of the Chimes on Mission Boulevard.

He will be greatly missed...

Our deepest condolences to his wife and family. Hollis was an amazing man and he leaves a huge void in the bay area uke world as well as the polynesian cummunity in Hayward and surroundng areas. Let us all take a moment to strum an ukulele to celebrate his memory.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know he was instrumental in keeping the Ukulele Festival in Hayward going after Uncle John passed. What a loss to our musical community. My thoughts go out to all of our friends who knew him and grew in the music world with him.
