The Shannon Center website still displays the event -- but then again, they've still got George's name (and I got George's cancellation info direct from Nancy Kahumoku).

A call to the venue should confirm whether the workshop/concert gig is still on:

Hey there,

Yes, it was with great regret that we cancelled the Institute of Hawaiian Music and Culture in Whittier this year. Enrollment was slower than usual as we think the date conflicted with a few events going on.

We are already in the planning phase for 2008 and look forward to some of the same workshop offerings plus more!

I hope to see you at the Makaha Sons concert too!!!
