Aloha e Alana,
That picture of David and I taken at Kalalau Lookout in Koke'e State Park is my favorite too. Incidently it was just 30 minutes after the earthquake that hit the Big Island. We were staying at a private cabin when it started to shake and then a total news blackout. I figured we were safe enough high above in the mountains............LOL
Aloha, Uncle D |

Nice Pict Dennis, you and David look relaxed!
My wife's favorite place in the world, I guess.
We had a similar experience as you in one of those WWII cabins (before they fixed them up better), but it was not the fireplace that went awry, it was more or less our lack of heed to requirements of the old plumbing!
(I'll say no more!)
See you in Sunnyvale at the least.

Good thing you were not standing at the lookout edge when the shaking happened!!

Howdy Lawrence,
I am glad that we stayed at a cabin owned by one of the workers for the Audubon Society. No television but I got to play with the wood burning stove almost all night. Kept the cabin nice and warm. |
