The Southern California Slack Key Society (SCSKS) will have its weekly Open Mike Night at Kaisen's Sushi and Hawaiian Style Restaurant off of Oceanside Boulevard, just east of I-5, in Oceanside, CA.

Sound checks and sign in with Chunky Monkey or Kapena Mika'ele start at 1800 (6PM). First magician at 1830 (630PM). We play till they kick us out -- usually around 2100 (9PM).

If you are in the area, please stop by and annoy our adoring fans. They now serve $9 pitchers of Kirin Beer which makes us sound REAL GOOD!

It was a pleasure to meet the group Tuesday night...Thank you for your hospitality...A fun and talkative group..and lots of guitar talent...you guys are fun
Mike..there was a pair of NSW MK V Patrol boats in OC harbor...it was that real windy day and I don't think NAVSEA ever really fixed the MK V right.nice young men and at least one "local "who appreciated the music as well as the food and a warm, dry place to sit.

Sorry but no way this time -- I've been overconsumed by the day job and I'm sleep deprived already.

Have a good one,

Bill

Nancy,
Be READY TO PLAY! (only joking - we are no pressyah)

We also now have a wireless mike (thanks to our most loyal groupie, Mona) that winds its way through the HUGE crowd and we have guest vocalists that sometimes surprise the H @ ck out of us slackers (ask Dusty - he tought it was BAD Feedback this week)

My "E-Bow" makes my guitar sound like a violin/viola/cello. I can create a haunting intro to Hawaii Aloha with it. I had Dusty and Chunky stop their table conversation and look up at me to see what the @ $%34 I was doing with my guitar -- the looks on their faces was PRICELESS.

Don't miss out on any more fun - COME ON DOWN!!!!

I've had an Ebow sitting in a box for years -- I've never been able to get a battery to stay put in the case. Maybe you have the magic mine needs -- I'll bring it with me -- see if can fix it up!!
