Supposedly, the first commercial recording to use a "fuzz tone" on guitar was the Green Acres theme.

Darling I love you, but give me Park Avenue

Ooh, I forgot Felix the Cat...first TV show we watched on the first TV set we owned (in black and white, of course). Add Underdog to the mix too.

Okay, how about the one from that *very* short-lived tv series, "It's About Time"? "It's about time, it's about space, about two men in the strangest place. This is their tale, of a great crew, as through the barrier of time they flew..." Sigh, and it continues. And continues. And continues in my mind....

This is the personal favorite of my young adult SF fan daughtershttp://www.stargatesg1971downloads.com/videos/stargatelyrics.wmv

Stargate,
It’s a great big world,
With a great big swirl that you step inside to another world.

We’re talking Stargate,
It’s a crazy trip,
You can go quite far and you don’t need a car or even a ship.

There’s Colonel O’Neill and Carter and Daniel and Teal’c.

Look out for that Goa’uld.

E nana, e ho'olohe. E pa'a ka waha, e hana ka lima.

...old thread, but no one mentioned the Patty Duke Show...

"....Where Cathy adores a minuet,
The Ballet Russes, and crepe suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll,
A hot dog makes her lose control --
What a wild duet!

Still, they're cousins,
Identical cousins and you'll find,
They laugh alike, they walk alike,
At times they even talk alike --

You can lose your mind,
When cousins are two of a kind."

...yes, I AM that old....

My aunt used to get the old Coke a Cola commercial song stuck in her head. The one that went "I'd like to teach the world to sing..." She would get so mad because once it got goin' she couldn't shut it off.

She really got mad at me when I'd go by her and hum the tune and get her goin' again. What fun.

What? You mean high "E" is the TOP string. No way dude! That changes everything!
