Hawai'i Magazine (January/February 2003 issue, already??) had a short article on ki'hoalu. Real short. Sort of like a little appetizer, leaving you hungry for more. But it was nice. It's informative for those who don't know. Sweet photo of Keola, but looks like it was reversed. His fret hand has the long fingernails. Haha. Sorry, my job is so detail-oriented I let that slip into my real life. Also, they printed a photo of Bla and said it was Cyril. Sheesh... Aloha, Julie

Hey Julie,
Your mention of those mistakes reminded me of the schedule in the North Bay Weekly for an April 2003 show in Santa Rosa which listed Hawai`ian Slack Key Guitar Masters "Ledward Ka`apana and Princess Ozzie Kotani" !
oh man, had me rollin' when I read that. I trust Owana and Ozzie both have a good sense of humour.

That would be quite a lineup...and I bet Ozzie would look lovely wearing his "princess tiara".
But I think the confusion may be blamed on change of lineup for that tour -- originally announced as Led & Owana, but it will be Led & Ozzie instead. No "princess" on this tour...
