Aloha Andy,

Just like Nicole Solis said, on page 22 of the February issue of Acoustic Guitar magazine, is a paragraph
quote:
Guitarists whose musical tastes lean toward the Polynesian can visit www.taropatch.net, a site dedicated to Hawaiian slack-key music. The site features resources for learning slack-key (including a list of tunings), a message board, and news headlines to bring you a little bit closer to the 50th state.

Somehow it's better in print! For those of you who don't read the magazine, it's also on-line at http://www.acousticguitar.com/issues/ag122/happs122.html Scroll down to "Cyber Notes".

Happiness and health to all in the new year!

Pauline

Andy,

It would be interesting to see what increase in membership occurs with the article in the magazine as compared to the last couple of months.

Dusty, "article" is a little grand. It is just the two sentences I quoted. But it's something, a recognition of what Andy has created.

Reid gets credit for alerting us to this too. It's an honor being mentioned in Acoustic Guitar magazine, but more of an honor to be hanging out online with all of you. Aloha!

It's time Andy got some press. There are three BB sites
that I check every day, Aloha Music Camp (Donahy's one),
TaroPatch, and Syntrillium (Cool Edit). Andy's is the
one that I get the most enjoyment from, and it is about
time that more Hawaiian music lovers find out.

Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah! (Three cheers)

We've been averaging around 19 new members a month for the past five months. So far this month we have 7, which puts us right on track for 19 for the month, so there's no huge rush to join happening yet.

What's really interesting (relatively speaking) is that out of 197 current members, 71 have never posted to the boards. I would therefore like to encourage all lurkers out there to at least say aloha and introduce yourselves!

My goal is to be able to play as well as people think I can.
