Aloha Iwalani - that was a beautiful rendition of Waikiki...such a sweet and soaring voice. Thank you for sharing the You Tube link with us. Too bad I live Cleveland, OH. All the good stuff on mainland happens on that left coast out there. |

Hey Baby what's up? Haha. You guys have fun up there. As you know that is our high desert Hawaiian picnic weekend. Can't make it there but maybe you could swing through Bend Sunday on the way back? haha
If you ever get a chance to see these guys, do it. Iwalani has such a sweet voice (youtube doesn't do her justice) and Maggie does a great job with harmony.
I wanted to thank you, Mike, Maggie, and George for sharing luau weekend with us and making our Sunday Kanikapila so wonderful. You guys are the greatest! Good times, yeah?

Aloha Wanda--mahalo for the nice review of our sound! First time I've uploaded anything onto YouTube and thought it might be a great forum for sharing our music. Maybe someday you can come visit us West Coast people!
E howzit Braddah Kurt--you sure put together one amazing lu'au, brah! Everything went so smooth! We felt so welcome and what an amazing performance--especially the finale when they did Hi'ilawe! I just jumped up and started dancing to this--haven't done those motions in three years, but it all came back. What an awesome experience! Sunday kanikapila at your home was just the perfect way to spend a beautiful afternoon--good food & great friends. Glad to have met our new Central Oregon ohana! It's too bad we can't come to your High Desert Hawaiian Picnic for the weekend (we'll be at Kalama)--perhaps we'll catch the next one!
Hope to meet more of our Taropatch family when we're up there at Kalama!
Take care & God bless, iwalani |
