If you are visiting the big island, look up John Keawe's schedule on his website and try to see him in person. He does a very personal and heartfelt show and sounds great. Lots of traditional SK and some wonderful new stuff he has written. http://www.johnkeawe.com/

I could not agree more he is one our favorites and I am counting the days till our next meal at Bamboo when John plays. The last show is always a great time for anyone lucky enough to be there. He plays weekly at the King Shops. http://picasaweb.google.com/photodreamer53/JohnKeawe Also his lovely wife Hope adds a beautiful Hula element to his shows. She is the insperation to "My Beautiful Hula Dancer" Talent and warm wonderful people it doesn't get better than that! |

Nani, thanks so much for the link to your website for pix of John. I think it's been over a year since I've seen them. For any of you who consider the workshops and camps, John is a regular at Keola's AMC on Molokai, and he will be at Keoki's on Hawai`i in December. He has DVDs from which to learn his style and some of his songs. aloha! nancy |

'Ey Tonya! When on Maui, don't forget to catch George Kahumoku!! Also, check to see where some of the others are playing. Enjoy!!! Are you going to be back to catch Ozzie Kotani in Grass Valley? I'm thinking you live up that way somewhere. aloha, n |
