I missed it.
I was at a high school football game watching one the local halau's dancers win one more on their quest for a state championship. He plays tight end and linebacker. 20 degrees...bbbbuuuuurrrrr!
I did see highlights though. Man that kid can throw the ball! And a couple of pretty talented recievers too.

It was indeed a great game and sweet victory.....too bad you missed it, Kurt!
20 degrees?? It only got down to 27 yesterday here in Olympia. It was a gorgeous sunny day though.....I actually played golf! |

awesome game! GO BOWS! Looks like Kansas is about to fall to Mizzou ... leaving UH as da lone undefeated team in D-1A (unless Kansas makes a last ditch comeback, down 2 TD's).
One more game to go fo UH, Washington at UH next week! |

UH has opened as a 14 point favorite over Washington. O/U is 74. Must be the Brennan influence.

We've heard about a couple of parties to watch da game, but we're not going to any. We got tickets for a performance dat night, so no can. Retro has advised me to take a radio so can catch da scoops as soon as da performance pau. And no, I cannot listen during da performance because I, too, will yell. |

On Henry Kapono Ka'aihue's blog he has some comments and pics from the victory over Boise State, and says he's singing the national anthem at the next game?

I'll have to break out da yearbook when I get home...I couldn't open da Falconzone link... I played football one year at Kalani (sophomore year JV) but then quit at the start of junior year and got more into music and art and work...What year you wen' grad? '66 by any chance? You knew John Isara? Vancouver, WA...down by Portland across da river? I have family sprinkled throughout the northwest, including my calabash auntie (my mom's best friend) who moved there 20 years ago...And my li'l step-sister is working there now as a nurse but is planning to move up near Tacoma near my dad... Should take one road trip soon.. Go Warriors! |

We be off very early to L.A. tomorrow morning for partying before the USC-UCLA game. My wife did all her graduate work at SC (save for a short time in the summer at UH in '53)and even me, a public school guy, appreciates good times on the campus with other grads, non grads, and non-USC folks. We have done it for many years. When the game is over we will crack off downwind to HB and be home in time to see the Warriors and Huskies battle it out.
May the best teams win. And we all know who they are.
