Hawai`iana Live! at the Hilo Palace Theater: Forever Hawai`i.
Get ready for Makahiki by learning how `Iole, the Hawaiian Rat, saved the people of Hawai`i from starvation. Learn from our precious kupuna through a special series of videos. Then, Howard Shapiro, of Kumanu, a global fusion group, joins Leilehua on-stage to share music from Kumanu’s new CD, Earth Patriot. And, of course, Bob Alder plays beloved tunes of Hawai'i nei on the theater's historic pipe organ.
School classes and other groups are welcome.
After the show, join Howard and Leilehua, the Hawai`iana Live! cast, Kumanu, and friends in the theater lobby to celebrate the release of Earth Patriot.
