What a great opportunity this has been to listen to this shop. Darin's half of the show was most excelliint...the talk story as well as the music. Mahalo, Darin, for "exposing" yourself to us live, in real-time. I am so glad you got a chance to promote your CD so that perhaps more folks will be able to experience the beauty of your music.
The other half with Uncle Cyril was a treasure. It was great to hear Cyril talking about where his life is heading today, to hear music from his latest CD, He`eia and to hear him give so much praise and credit to the kupuna.
At the end, Cyril asked Kimo and Brickwood to play "Hi`ilawe" from the brown Gabby album, and it made me get tears in my eye.
Cyril ended the show telling everyone to keep precious the Hawaiian ways: the music, hula, language (and golf). What a guy!
