When I moved to San Francisco back in the late 60s, I thought the Chronicle was the coolest newspaper in the world. Since then it lost a lot of its charm for me, but lately things have been turning around in a good way. These days the paper has two regular columns with a Hawaiian theme. Seeing some of my friends featured in this charming piece was a nice way to start the day.
I saw the article when we were in the Bay Area over Thanksgiving... meant to get a copy, but didn't want to rip up or steal our hosts' paper! Free lodging trumps free paper. I'll be surprised when we start getting uke articles in the Denver paper...It wasn't a lot of new info for me, but always interesting to hear someone try to cover the "Ukiverse" in one article!
