Mitch, I'll be up Sunday but a haul up Sat, late back home, then back again on Sunday is too dangerous for these old eyes driving at night. I'm planning on bringing my Taylor NS74ce up to Nancy's Sunday AM to see Ozzie and Co..

Eh Mike! Could just stay here. You'd be well-chaperoned and even meet Mahina... You know the rest. |

hey all you out there who came to the reception at Duke's....tell everyone what they missed!!!
it turned out to be like, an impromptu private concert! Uncle Dennis and George got up to play, Jeff Peterson jammed on this weird experimental guitar, Kimo and Owana played and the beautiful ladies of Halau Hula Ka Lehua O Ka La'akea danced too. Everyone was really digging it!
a couple days prior to that Jeff and I had stopped by Bill Tapia's house to hang out and talk story and I'd invited him to the reception. he came and even jammed a little too! one of the highlights, for me, was to have been the one to introduce Uncle Bill and Uncle Cyril together for the first time! Back in the day, Bill had taught Gabby guitar and so had a lot to share with Cyril, stuff he hadn't ever heard before. That was so very cool |

Definitely a night to remember! I got to play spectator that night and had the best seats in the house front and center w/ Uncle Dennis and Ozzie. Was also great to meet a lot fans of ki ho'alu who came out to celebrate with us. Most important, the food was ONO! Mahalo nui for putting it all together Mitch! |
