Who is performing this year at the Hayward Fest. and what time? Unlike previous years, there will not be a list of performers available until the day of the show. Most concerts and festivals promote their event with a list of performers beforehand so people can get a preview and decide to go early or late, depending on the order of performers. Some people don't wish to be there the full 8 hours. The organizers are not concerned with such matters.
I hear Dominator, Doelger Senior Center and Evan Tom are among the 20 spots. Any more information would be helpful. If you've never been, go! Very colorful, fun event. Thanks... hkb

Yes, I will be playing in the #2 slot at 11:15. It's a short 10 minute window. I know it's early but I'd be very grateful to those that get out early to provide their support.

I don't know anyone else performing. I do know that Bryan Tolentino won't be there this year. I don't know if that means Asa Young will also not be attending or what. I'm in the process of checking into that.

Yep, Asa and Chris (and Fred) will be there, according to Bryan Tolentino. 'Not sure if Asa and Chris are playing, doing backup or what--but I'm sure they'll also be at the Kamaka booth.

I'll be backing the Academy of Hawaiian Arts Music Ensemble, AHA Mele, on bass this year. They're scheduled for 4:15PM...

Aloha kakou:

The Royal Hawaiian 'Ukulele Band will be performing at 12:00 noon. We are based at the Templebar in Berkeley, under the direction of Uncle Kem Loong. Every group has ten minutes of performance, so we are working on three songs to squeeze into that time frame. Come and hear us, then come and play with us! Look forward to seeing all our Taropatch friends there. We're in the bright red shirts. Malama pono.

We had to give up our spot this year because I am in Hawaii for a family matter. I am returning to CA next Tues, unless Northwest folds. I will be at the festival in the audience and to jam outside in the courtyard. See you there... Will you and your lovely assistant be performing this year? A hui hou...

Sorry about that, HUI was/is always an interesting part of the festival. Last year (right in the middle of the HUI presentation for gosh sakes!) they caught some crazy guy wandering around in the audience with a wireless Uke.

I/We will not be playing this year also, for several reasons. (P.S: I am the assistant )

See you at the festival. Good luck with your efforts in Hawaii.

I don't have a date for this festival. No, not the male kind, but the calendar kind. Can someone post that?

Has anyone seen a full schedule for performances yet? In previous years, they used to send out the whole schedule to performers. We're not playing this year so I haven't seen a list. Anyone? Bueller?
