Schola Cantorum & Halau 'O Pi'ilani - Sunday, April 13, 2008, 4:00 pm
Smithwick Theatre, Foothill College

Fast forward a few centuries and sail into Island time. Think moonlit walks along the beach, lounging on the lanai and the sun's sharp reflection on the water as you playfully dart in and out of the waves' reach. Splash into a collection of alluring Hawaiian treasures as the 80 voices of Schola Cantorum, plus 40 dancers and musicians of the Hula Halau ’O Pi’ilani dance troupe perform traditional songs and dances from Hawaii. This special concert will be presented at Smithwick Theatre on the campus of Foothill College, Los Altos. The singers, dancers and musicians will tell the story of the Islands from the dawn of time to the present day with traditional folk songs, chants and other beautiful harmonies. A feast of vibrant color, light and sound!

Tickets are $24 (regular adult) $20 (senior) and $12 (full-time students). Order your tickets early to save $2 on those prices!

Since the theatre is located on a hill, we have secured special parking for those with mobility limitations. Space is limited and anyone wishing to use this lot will need a special parking permit from the Schola Cantorum office. To order tickets for the concert, call (650) 254-1700 or order online. To get the parking permit for those unable to walk up the hill to the theatre, call the Schola Cantorum office at (650) 254-1700. Space is limited and must be reserved in advance.
