Witness the country's most innovative artists as they combine the grandeur of America's national parks with the art of the camera in "Dance in America: Wolf Trap's Face of America", an on-location spectacular. Tune in to experience an evening featuring selections from five breathtaking installments from Wolf Trap's acclaimed Face of America artistic adventure series.
The 90-minute television special showcases in high definition the aerial dancing of Project Bandaloop off the cliffs of Yosemite National Park; the U.S. Synchronized Swim Team underwater at Coral Reef National Monument; Halau O Kekuhi, renowned keepers of honored hula traditions, on the sacred terrain of Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park; and follows some of the country's most exciting dancers and choreographers–Doug Varone, Elizabeth Streb, and Donald Byrd–to Mammoth Cave National Park, Wright Brothers National Memorial, and the remains of a sugar cane plantation at Virgin Islands National Park.

As I'm putting a post-it note on my TV screen to remind myself to watch this show, thought perhaps there would be other TPers who might need to do something similar??

We were there in 2006 for the same show, with Boo and her Mama. Wonderful. Flew down for the weekend, as did they, and had an astounding time. One thing was kinda mindtwisting though. A significant portion of the audience was widows of "service" guys who were home-posted in Hawai`i and never returned. They were comparing notes of a life that I wouldn't want anyone to live, but they loved the memories, and were currently living well in the DC area. Really different strokes.
