Aloha Taropatch Ohana,
The event was awesome....thank you Braddah Cyril for the invite to play with Ben Kaili and the Hilo Gang (JJ Ahuna, Ben Kaili & Victor Chock) as well as Brother Noland asking me to sit in on his set with Dwight Kanae, Bruce and Braddah pulling bass. It was an awesome feeling to perform but more awesome being with friends I never been with in a long time...Delwyn Beasley, Kunia Galdera, Aunty Diane Aki, Lilike Kalamau, Willy Kahaialii, Skylark, Palani Vaughn, David Kahiapo, Pali, Moon Kahale....nice reunion so to speak. Howzit erybody,ho da kanikapila was awesome.All da ohana's and friends payin tribute to pop's was second to none.Someone wen mention get one on da north shore,then one more in makaha.Cannot wait till next years one.Everyone was so patient waiting for dea turn,some had to go due to engagements,and some nevah even get chance.Da singin,no can beat,reminds me of da old days.Sonny Lim wen walk right up and talk story wit us,das how pordagee dis buggah cause I nevah even realize till latah...no can lidat.Braddah ed me and duke went all da way to walmart jus fo sunblock and hats.Da glasses,good ting was windy and dusty.Plus we look good. |

Hmmm. All these pictures passed through Wanda's computer on the way from Kathleen to The'Patch.Gonna be a major scrapbooking event the next few weeks.
