Don't you mean the "Mythical State of Jefferson"?

JPR is very possibly my all time favorite radio station(s). I have listened to it on several long drives on I-5 to Medford starting as far south as the Chico turnoff.

...sorry for the digression, now back to the thread in progress...

John has a new CD called "Hawai'i Island...Is My Home" with an official release date of July 22. However, he will have a limited number of the CDs with him for sale at the concert.

C'mon down, enjoy the show, and be the first on your block listening to the new CD!

The release date's been moved up to July 8 - but you can STILL get 'em first at the show!

Ahhh Yes... Retro, apparently you do not listen much to JPR, as I was directly quoting the phrase that the station uses as part of their Station ID.

Plus... The link I provided above has essentially the same details as the link you just posted (including the serious incidents to date), plus some info that your link does not have, though they share much in common.

P.S. I say hello to Moodonna every time I drive thru Yreka, and to her friend and cohort the Yreka dragon, guarding the north of town.
At Christmastime she often has a Santa hat on, and the last time I passed by she was actually wearing a lei, but I have not seen her do the hula, which should get us back to the Hawaiian subject at hand.

Yeah - it's been a loo-oo-ooo-ong time. Haven't heard them since they used to carry the national program I produced back in the '90s.

Perhaps this is adding insult to injury, but they DO have a program titled Retro Lounge, on their "Rhythm and News" feed.

Jeez, I've been outta touch here since I posted the question about John playing in the State of Jefferson. Warms my heart to know that some of you guys know where we are and our fantastic public radio station, too. Hey Lawrence, how often you pass through? Take the hour detour off I-5 some time when you are passing through. We could do some slacking. Not many (any) slackers up here besides me. Seems like plenty Hawaiian music fans though

Now, all you Californians, why wouldn't you want to see these two adorable talented people perform?

Timmy, thanks for helping John and Hope find another venue. I'm sure you'll all enjoy them. I know we most certainly did. Thanks to the Keawe `ohana for a marvelous show.

Thanks Dusty. I need to learn to use Photoshop. I had a hard time just cropping this photo so you couldn't see John's set list! He did a great mix of old and new.
