Slack key guitarist and Hawai`i Island resident JOHN KEAWE will be live in the studios of KBCS radio this Saturday, July 5, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time.

John will be our guest on "Hawai`i Radio Connection," performing his music and talking about his upcoming concert that evening, at the Admiral Theatre in West Seattle. (Tickets available at www.brownpapertickets.com.)

"Hawai`i Radio Connection" airs every Saturday on KBCS, from Noon - 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. In the Seattle area, tune in live at 91.3 FM. Elsewhere, KBCS streams its air signal live at http://kbcs.fm

Any chance this will be rebroadcast during another time slot? Gotta take my kids to the local 5th of July parade, so won't be around to listen.

Jeff, there's a good chance it will be available as a podcast on KBCS' website in the near future. I'll have Gregg post an update when he's off the air.

Thanks, Dusty. We have a lot of podcasts up on the website, with musicians of all stripes, not just Hawaiian. But if slack key is your (only) bag, you'll find a lot of familiar names on there (including an earlier visit by John, who is so comfortable in that cramped studio).
