Cruisin' indeed--- and not a single Oregon date? What's wrong with this picture?? Come on fellow webfooters, let's get in gear here. Last time I looked, Oregon lies between Washington and California.

There are five days between the 5th and the 10-- surely someone in Portland, Eugene or Bend can throw together a concert for those routing dates??

Heck, I can produce a concert down here in the boonies-- even though I'll be working at the Aloha Camp for two weeks prior. It ain't rocket science.

Who is booking this tour?

I'm pretty sure John's doing this one by himself; if you have some thoughts on where to get him to play, call him up and talk him into it.

I'm bummed that One Hawaii set up their big show here in the Seattle area for the same friggin' date, however. But I'll be supporting John, no question about it, and I hope we'll get enough Seattle folks out to do the same.

Just to clarify Auntie Maria's note: tickets for the Seattle show will be available at www.brownpapertickets.com, as of June 1.

You can say that again. You should see the look John gets as he introduces Hope and the return look she gets as he is playing and she starts dancing. A lucky man and a lucky woman.

I have my (almost) front row seats with the rest of the SoCal Slackers for the San Diego venue.

That's what his posters say - but I saw that the link for the concert has been up almost since it was first announced.

Probably goes without saying, but keep us posted if any State of Jefferson (No Cal/So Or) concerts are worked out. I tried to get him set up with Oaksongs for their annual Lu`au concert in the boonies up here, but that apparently wasn't in the cards.

Well, it turns out John and Hope are flying the leg from Seattle to California. So no go on a local concert in the State of Jefferson.*

John said he'd wave...

*State of Jefferson. You have to live here to know what that's all about....

John just emailed -- his July 10 Santa Cruz CA gig has been moved from The Attic, to Bocci's Cellar.

From the attic to the cellar --- there's a joke in there somewhere...

Aloha all,

Still very good seats available for the San Diego show July 16th -- SCSKS has a group of seats toward the front that are being held.

Just order online at www.acousticmusicsandiego.com -- add a comment about SCSKS when you pay and you'll get preferred seating -- seats cannot be held indefinitely so I suggest jumping on this quickly if you want to come.

I just heard that the Attic is going to discontinue all the shows, and they apparently plan on turning it into a pool hall. CHECK before you buy your tickets!

Grumble, Julie

John has a new CD called "Hawai'i Island...Is My Home" with an official release date of July 22. However, he will have a limited number of the CDs with him for sale at the concert.

C'mon down, enjoy the show, and be the first on your block listening to the new CD!
