Any experience or recommendations for setting up a guitar in:
GABBY'S F
F, C, E, G, C, E
especially gauges for the raised pitches on the low 3 strings...

My first idea, go to everything one step down ( Eb, Bb, D, F, Bb, D), then capo 2--that would be the easiest on the guitar and avoid a special string setup to get there and back to 'normal' easiest?
Or if Lawrence has his slide rule handy? But please, don't make me do my "new math" from 1964...
I tried to search for some past posts....but didn't find much...
George Winston's slack tuning site is also helpful...

First thing you do go here:

http://www.kennaquhair.com/ustc.htm

And download ustc.exe

Make note of the string gauges you are currently using for Taro Patch G and use USTC to determine the individual tensions and overall tension that you have going in your current setup (or if it's a new guitar, the setup that it was designed to handle).

Now you can use USTC to model decreased string gauge on each string while tuning up and find a fairly close match for each so that you will not overstress either any individual string or the entire neck.

Hope this helps,

Bill
