This University of Hawai`i combo entered the annual Ka Himeni Ana all-acoustic music competition in 2007, "never dreaming that we would be awarded 1st place". The annual event -- an acoustic traditional Hawaiian music competition -- now launches the group on their recording career with their debut CD. Under the direction of their kumu (teacher) Chadwick Pang, Manoa Voices is comprised of Justin Ka`upu, Mamina Koga, Rosanna Perch, Sophronia Smith.

Chadwick taught a couple of Hawaiian music workshops in New York City last year. They were really great and heʻs a great guy. Been looking forward to the release of this CD.
Chadwick was announced as one of the HARA scholarship winners this week!
