It's happening with a slight date change... to have it the same day as the Annual Haena to Hanalei Run and Pancake Breakfast (fundraiser for Hanalei Civic Canoe Club)... a full day of family fun for all!

June 7, 2003 12:30p to 6:00p FREE
First Annual Hanalei Music & Hula Festival
Benefit for Hale Halawai Ohana o Hanalei
(House for the Gathering of Families of Hanalei)

The board gave us their full support and have prepared a beautiful letter asking for advertising sponsorship and participation. Funds raised through advertising, CD sales, T-shirt sales, etc. will cover costs and remaining will support Hale Halawai Ohana o Hanalei programs. The Hale Halawai Ohana o Hanalei Teen Center will be selling snacks to raise funds for their activities and programs.

Two halau have already joined the list... musicians will be finalized April/May. Focus is to share talents of north shore music and halau... Hawaiian music & hula history... from modern ku'i forms to kahiko.

More information on the website. Advertising sponsorships are offered to help cover costs of making this dream a reality. If you can help in any way, please let us know.
