This past Friday June, 13th I had the wonderful opportunity to do a telephone interview with Herb Ohta, Sr. The legendary Ohta-san. We did the interview to help promote his up coming visit to San Jose, CA on June 26 and 27 for workshops and a concert.

You can hear the interview by going to our radio station website

www.kapu.org

As you scroll down, on the right hand column you will see the audio link listed as "Norm interviews Ohta-san" click on it to play the interview.

For those of you in the greater San Francisco and Monterey Bay area check out info on Ohta-san's visit by going to

www.hawaiimusiclive.com

He is going to be in the Seattle area also.

Very nice interview, Norm. Nice web site, too. First time I ever checked it out. Lots of interesting stuff. I also love that You Tube video of Ohta-san and Herb, Jr. playing Hi`ilawe together. Sounds like you get plenty fun and excitement over there in Kaleponi.
