As a further encouragement, John will be bringing a supply of his new CD "Hawai'i Island in My Home" to the concert.

Everyone that came to hear John, and see Hope dance along with their two grand children Naomi and Shelly, had just the best time ever. The crew at Bocci's Cellar did just a superb job, also. Thank you Julie for the set decoration, and for the view (inside joke).

Timmy Hunt form the Aloha Island Grille made his first public debut to a rousing ovation at the end of every one of his songs. Your devotion to your music and what it means to you really did shine through. Congrats to you Timmy!!!

John was simply great. His songs touched everyones heart and his slack key was just the best. I think his playing last night was one of the truest representations of what slack key is all about.

Watching Hope dance is just a thrill. She is just so luminous. What makes it even more special is knowing the bond of love between John and Hope and see it translated into song and dance. It truly is something very special.

The enthusiasm that the crowd obviously expressed during the event added even more enjoyment. Everyone was having such a great time. I heard that there were people in the audience that had never been to a Hawaiian concert before and they were so filled with emotion during one of Hope's hulas that they actually had tears in their eyes.

It was one of those special evenings.

I echo your comments about the concert and hope that the folks at John's up-coming concerts are so blessed. But this response is to hope that we'll be able to view your video of Julie on-line, or at the least you can send me a copy. See Julie as few have seen her.

Since I did not get Julie to "sign a release", I doubt that this video of her will be posted on line. So a copy just for you will have to suffice. And I must take exception....many of us have seen this side of Julie.

OK, well,

I realize that certain parts of my anatomy are visible to the audience as I am ususally framing and taking photos of the performers. I'm sure it's time for me to go on a diet...

Brah, I want to thank all of you taropatcher's who came out to support John and Hope last night at Bocci's Cellar... It was a spectacular evening and I was honored to share my music with all of you folks... A defining moment in time for me as I "thought" I was going to pass out from the anxiety... Haha...

It was also an honor to open for John as many of you may or may not know, John was the VERY FIRST Slack Key musician I learned music from... It was Mana 'Olana that began my journey into playing Slack Key... So MAHALO to you John... And once again mahalo to all of you who came out to support Hawaiian music here on the mainland... The work so hard and travel so so far to share with all of us... Its incredible to see the faces and emotions that are evoked when John comes to town...

A hui hou, ke akua pu, e malama pono friends,
Timmy Kukiamekekahiau Hunt
