Thanks to Mitch Chang, we in SoCal are getting treated to a Hawaiian Falsetto Festival this Sunday, and like with the slack key festival last January, there was a reception for the artists which was held tonight at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. Raiatea didn't want to sing tonight, choosing to save that for Sunday, but instead we were treated to her dancing the Hula to "My Yellow Ginger Lei". I'm not sure the rest of the tour, but it's mentioned elsewhere under this heading. Maggie! take good care of Stephen Espaniola. He will be missing his wife and adorable little daughter so ask to see pix. The T-shirts are really nice too!
There is still a bit of room for both Stephen's ukulele class and Jeff Peterson's slack key class tomorrow at Happa restaurant in Gardena. And I believe tix will be available at the box office for Sunday's performance which starts at 2:00. Vendors will be there starting at 11:00.
What a wonderful evening!!! Thanks again to Mitch for bringing this evening, and the festival on Sunday to us.
