This wonderful film is up for an award -- here's the email notice from the producer, Lisette Flanary:

The Independent Lens series on PBS has as on-line audience award for films in the 2008 series and my film, "Na Kamalei: The Men of Hula", is in the run off to win. Please kokua by taking a few seconds to go to the link below and cast a vote for my film. And if you can, please forward this email to anyone who might be interested in voting. The most worthy candidate presented in any race this year so far.

I just voted. And the online poll shows that "Na Kamalei" is clearly in the lead right now at 75%.
