This wonderful film is up for an award -- here's the email notice from the producer, Lisette Flanary:

The Independent Lens series on PBS has as on-line audience award for films in the 2008 series and my film, "Na Kamalei: The Men of Hula", is in the run off to win. The most worthy candidate presented in any race this year so far.
I just voted. And the online poll shows that "Na Kamalei" is clearly in the lead right now at 75%.
