WOO-HOO

This is the coolest news! This venue is not 1/2 or so from our house, and is a beautiful campus. OMG! Shootz, Bra, we can even go Pittsburgh to see them again! That is only about 1 1/2 hours from our house.

Finally, aloha is coming to Cleveland. And, oh boy, I can fix Barry up with my daughter.

Too cool.

But - where to buy tickets? I want one front row seat!

Me ke aloha

Sharlene tells me that Ohio and Pennsylvania are being cancelled and refuns will be made starting tomorrow. I am bummed. I was so excited they were going to be on my turf. And now I cannot fix Barry up with my daughter. Bummahz.

I purchased tickets for their performance in the Pittsburgh area - barely a mile from my house.

Oh well....

Aloha e Fred: You are not too far away for kanikapila. Pittsburgh is only a hop skip and a jump. When we have our hula thing in February, you should come over here for it -- a lovely Valentine weekend of hula, mele and wala`au, plus a darn swell ho`ike.

Aloha Wanda,

We were looking forward to a little Hawaii in the 'burgh, but maybe we'll catch one of the shows coming to VA later this year instead. Let us know about your "hula thing". It sounds like fun - I know my wife would love to get more involved in hula. Me, well that's another thing. There could be some serious injury if this clutz gets involved in any kind of dance.

I already had my tickets purchased, but unfortunately it has been cancelled. I was really looking forward to this show, but according to Sharlene, only 50 tickets were sold. We have to make our own Aloha here in Ohio.

I think perhaps there could have been better promotion of the show here in Cleveland area. That 50 was probably us guys and the hula hui and maybe one of my friends from work. There was no promotion, other than the announcement here on Taro Patch. I sent the poster and background info on the Sons and Barry to the entertainment folks at the Cleveland Plain Dealer and to plenty of friends and relatives. Az y hahd. I told John Koko I would take them to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and have an Italian family dinner/kani for them and he said he would have loved to do that, but. At least he says he is getting stronger every day. That is the important thing. He is looking mighty buff lately if any you guys chrai spock dem Makaha Sons.
