Braddah Duke - if that's not an incentive for you to come Seattle way...
There's a lot of us here to jam with, and if we can "incentivize" GS to come over the mountains, all the better! Hapakid - you next! |

We get casinos up this way, too. When you meet up with thumbstruck and slipry1 early next year, you'll meet two of our best players around here. Seattle will be on your agenda... |

Anyone is welcomed to look me up, I will jam with anyone. I am in South SF CA. I am open to any kind of music you want to play. I've jammed with about a hundred people in the past month alone. If you want to just play old style hawaiian music, I love doing that. If you want to just play jawaiian, I don't mind. Folk, jazz, rock, blues, classical... bring it on over. Lousy and excellent musicians welcomed. Wannabes and egomaniacs also welcomed. All instruments welcomed.
Group kanis are happening in many places in CA. The bay area has dozens of kanis every weekend with many great local musicians showing up. Email me when you stop in and I will direct you to one. There may be a small fee to some but most are free.

Seems as if there is still plenty Hawaiian style music played on the Big Island. Or at least it seems that way to me when I am there. I love the fact that there is so much music out there something we have so little of here in my neck of the woods unless you are into the 20something scene and ROCK. To me Hawaii is a wonderland of available music. Guess like everything else it is all relative to what you are used to. I read the posts from Hawaii, and the West Coast and DROOL over groups that meet and play regularly. Course then again there are problble more people on Oahu or in one city in California then in our whole State. Delaware population is 853,476 our county has just has 180,288 so it is about the same size as Hawaii County guess that is why I am comfortable there. :-) |
