"Honolulu, Hawaii (PRWEB) December 22, 2008 -- When friends and long-time supporters of Hawaii-born Barack Obama heading to Washington DC for the Presidential Inauguration in January learned scalpers had bought out the Hawaii Society Ball hours after the election and were hawking event tickets on eBay, they were annoyed. Undeterred by the short time line, they set to work calling friends to organize their own party: the first Inaugural Luau (http://inauguralluau.eventbrite.com). "

I went on ebay to see what the scalpers were up to. I sent an email to one of them who was asking $2700 for two tickets, asking why he was doing this, and boy did I get back a toxic email. And, there was a "mahalo" in there, so it appears there's a not-very-nice guy living in DC who knows some island lingo. That's the last time I'll stick my niele nose in. I hope everyone has a great time at the luau.

Me ke aloha,
Lynn

Well, I am very pleased to see that folks decided to get together and put on a party for regular folks. Best wishes to Maunalua and John Cruz who will be performing. How very exciting. I hope Bobby Moderow protects that leo ki`eki`e from the harsh weather. Somebody O`ahu make sure he has a scarf to wrap around his neck. John Cruz has cold weather experience. As y "Island Style" exists.

Temps are going to be cold, cold, cold.

Me ke aloha
