Aloha Everyone,
We want to let you all know about workshops and a special show in Southern California on Saturday, February 7, 2009. The Spirit of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar, the latest CD from our Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert Series on Maui has been nominated for a Grammy and we are all coming to Los Angeles to attend the awards ceremony.
We’ll be doing workshops in slack key guitar, ukulele and Hawaiian steel guitar, followed by a show featuring:
• George Kahumoku Jr
• Dennis Kamakahi
• Sonny Lim
• Owana Salazar
• Uncle Richard Ho’opi’i
• Daniel Ho
• Bobby Ingano (Hawaiian steel guitar)
• Keoki Kahumoku
• Peter deAquino and Sterling Seaton from our show on Maui.
The workshops and show are at:
Manhattan Beach Community Church

Workshops: 10am to noon, $25
Show: 1:30pm, $20

Seating is limited, so if you’d like to attend it’s best to reserve early. The Grammy Awards are the following day, so please come by to enjoy some wonderful music and wish our artists well at the awards ceremony on Sunday. Hope to see you there!
