Had a great time in Pauoa this afternoon. Was blessed to listen to and play with some fellow TPatchers.

Who was there? Jack and Cory(sp?) from Seattle, Doug Fitch, Ozzie K., and the awesome Jay and Duke made up the TP contingent. Also there were Terry (youtube ukulele911 if I heard right.. great uke player btw) and a bass player that i didn't catch the name of (oops). I hope I didn't leave anyone out.

Anyways, was good fun.

Aunty W: I saw they were busting out the camcorder as I was leaving.. maybe gonna get some footage online.

On da upside dat kani wuz da bomb. Hula O' Make'e & Henehene Kou Aka old skool Pahinui style, Me & Jay supplying da kukai vocals & ereboddeh covering up wit da awesome pa'anis. Da pa'anis probly cood have gone on forevah, dey give me stink eye wen I shut down da song.

Ozzie.Kory,Jack & Terry on Royal Hawaiian Hotel,Sand & Waikiki woodah made awesome YouTube videos but dis bolohead wuz too mesmerized fo' film 'um. Everybody wuz stoked to have met Ozzie and he wuz just as grateful for including him

Ditto fo Thumbs & me!! Ozzie is something else, and a VERY gratious kane. Da grinz was onolicious! Da bassist name Patrick, btw. It's gonna be hard foa go home.

And crikey -- didn't anyone sing Pauoa Liko Ka Lehua? After all you were in Pauoa.

And Dukie, next time we come, I bringing my OWN digital camcordah. Sheesh. If you want something done, you just gotta do it yourself!

See, that is what I say about men can only do one thing at a time, cannot multi-task. Oh what's that you say? You say Duke can make swell music with all dem strings and all dem fingahz at da same time? Oh, OK, I guess that is some good kine multi-tasking. OK, Dukie my love, you are forgiven.

Glad you guyz had fun! Mahalo to all you folks for making special effort to get together and play nicely togeddah.

And wow, Terry was there? That guy can play da `ukulele so good, garanz ball baranz!

Not even close to their value - and now you see why we love playing music with those two. They have given me countless opportunities to become a better musician (and perhaps someday I will live up to those opportunities), combined with hours of good fun and great friendship. That applies to so many of the kanikapila players around this area - nothing but the best encouragement.

Besides - I need 'em here for a special gig in mid-March (which I'll post about very soon).
