Here's the latest on the Pakele Live! schedule...
Mar. 5 - Hema Pa'a (Baba Alimoot and Chris Kamaka - or as Pali says, a Steely Dan type super duo!)
Mar. 12 - CD Release Party for Jennifer Perri, with special guests Herb Ohta, Jr., Jon Yamasato, David Kamakahi, and Darin Leong!
Mar. 19 - Grammy nominees LT Smooth, Don Kaulia, and Chris Lau
Mar. 26 - TBA
April 2 - Brother Noland
We might have a special Pakele on Friday, April 7 - more on that later...
I'll post more info in the usual places on each of these artists as their shows draw near...
Most of you know this, but in case there are a few who don't - Pakele Live! is a FREE concert series featuring traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music. It's on Thursday nights from 6-8 pm in the Pakele Lounge (in the lobby of the Ala Moana Hotel), 410 Atkinson Dr., Honolulu. It's all ages, and seating is on a first come basis.
If you're off-island, you can watch live on http://www.pakelelive.com/ (or http://www.j-wave.co.jp/ if you're in Japan.)
Please come join us if you can - it's sooo much fun!
Aloha!

Kala mai for last week, Tad - couldn't be helped! Since it was dark, I got to go over to the Marriot for a really special show with the Abrigo and Keawe ohanas (and unexpected guests, in the audience and onstage!) - and some local Pakele fans who'd gone to the Ala Moana first came up and asked me what the heck was going on... Really nice to know we have loyal viewers! And in personers...
Be sure to watch this week - gonna be a great show, and the Abrigos might have a very special guest sit in for one song... fingers crossed...

Kala mai - I hate when that happens! (So you probably don't wanna hear what an incredible show it was, huh?...)
I'll be sure to post when the TV version will be on - at least you'll be able to see 30 minutes' worth of highlights. It'll be awhile before it's on (OC 16, and livestreamed on their website), but you'll have a week to watch it... hopefully, if your internet is down again, it won't stay down for a week!
Hey everyone - Pali and Tony told me last night that they hadn't yet received confirmation from Aaron Sala for his 3/26 CD release party that's posted on the Pakele Live website. I just saw Aaron a few hours ago, but didn't get a chance to talk to him about it - so all I can say is, stay tuned! We'll let you know when/if it happens (fingers crossed - it's bound to be a GREAT show!)
