Congratulations, Kimo & Ka`iulani. What an honor. Give John a special hug from me. He is my heart braddah -- we both get the same kine zippah scar ontop our poli. Oni bad ting, John now get TWO zippah scars.
Is Kimo bringing his guitar? We are gonna have fun, but be prepared to WORK. Mapuana deSilva does not have a Merrie Monarch winning halau by being easy on her haumana. We get a few kane dancing, too. I think one of my favorite friends from the past few years (cousin of that CUTE Ocean Kaowili) hurt his back and won't be joining us, but we get a nice man from New Mexico named Dennis Pavao. Guess who his cousin is/was? |

Aloha Wanda, Mahalo! No worries...Kimo will bring at least 2 of his guitars-6 & 12 string...and he slacks both (in over 37 tunings). It will be fun...and I know how hard Kumu Mapuana works her haumana. I was in her long distance 'Uniki workshop for a year and a half in 2002-2003/2004. I couldn't go to one of the sessions so...I had to drop out. It was wonderful to learn from her but it was a program I chose to enhance all the other years of training from my Auntie Camille (and other Kumu)since I was 4 years old. Kimo and I are looking forward to sharing with you and all. Kanikapila...right on!! Me Ke Aloha, Ka'iulani
