I heard Milton Lau's Kona Slack Key Guitar Festival is September 6, 2009 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort from 12 noon to 5:00 pm. I think it's usually the Sunday before the Monday Labor Day holiday. Does anybody know... is there also a festival on the Hilo side?
EHCC - has one this year July 18, 2009 at Coconut Island in Hilo....I got invited and booked way in advanced....lucky. Been fortunate been booked every weekend for a year now.
Milton Lau's will be on the last Sunday in August 2009 again at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort. I will hold a slack key workshop at the IslandVortex.com studio Friday evening and Saturday with a live internet broadcast for those interested in being part of the workshop and cannot be in Hawaii. You can be with us 'live' on Saturday before the concert!
Thanks Don! Are you sure the Kona Milton Lau slack concert will be the last Sunday in August this year? Last I heard from Milton - I think it was toward the end of April - he said was scheduled for September 6. But of course things can change, and this wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong...
