The house will be rockin' for this one!

This talented trio pays homage to Hawaiian traditions while creating a unique and progressive sound of their own. Many consider them to be reminiscent of Hawaii's acclaimed group, Hui `Ohana.

Last fall they gave a highly popular performance at the Seattle Slack Key Festival. Now they offer a rare opportunity to enjoy their beautiful yet powerful music in an intimate setting!

Check out their website for more info on the group: http://www.hiikua.com/

House Concert: Saturday, September 10 -- 7:30 pm -- Bellevue, Washington

Potluck (always) -- 6 pm

Donation: $25 -- includes their new CD, "Aia I Hi`ialo"!

Limited space for both events!

Please email me with questions or for reservations -- through taropatch.net or direct: dr-cookie @ msn.com (address & map will be sent when reservations are made)

These guys are really really good. They are one of the few new acts to get radio play on 105.1 FM in Hawaii and they deserve it. Beautiful harmonies, falsetto and an absolutely great lead guitar player.

P.S. Cookie, Neej, Momi, Retro and everyone else, you rock.

Featured their music on both radio shows yesterday (hoping that led to a flurry of calls; also played another Keale track), and the trio will be dropping by for a live interview on next week's afternoon show.

HAWAI`I RADIO CONNECTION
KBCS-FM 91.3 (in the Seattle area)
Streaming online at http://kbcs.fm (show audio archived for two weeks as well)
Every Saturday from Noon - 2:00 pm Pacific Time

We anticipate Hi`ikua coming by later in the second hour on Sep. 10.

Hope you tuned in for the interview - they played a couple tracks from the CD, as well as some from a couple of their influences, talked about how they know each other, what their name means, etc.

The whole show is archived for two weeks now at http://kbcs.fm; they were on from about 1:20-2:00 pm (second hour).
