In my opinion, there has not been much flaming here at the 'patch. When things got heated, threads were locked or removed pretty quickly.

I have one small suggestion that may help a little. Why don't you install a "Like" button? Many times I've posted new topics & have gotten little or no responses to them. It's really discouraging to think or feel like nobody is listening. Lots of times I myself read new topics & I don't have anything to add so I don't comment on it. I suspect this happens a lot. With a "Like" button even the deepest "lurkers" could voice their approval. I think it would encourage more people to post new topics if they at least know it's not falling upon deaf ears. Personally, that alone would make me more active here.
Thanks for your thoughts, Duke. I'll look into that. There have been many, many posts here that I "like."

Dear Andy, I have been a regular lurker since 2004. Half the songs I have learned and most of the people I know about were thanks to Taropatch. So while I rarely post, the patch is an important part of my life. There is no way FB can compare.

Well, it's been so long since the last post I forgot my password. But that's not saying much. I'm 65 and not into social media with the exception of FB, and that was a challange. Were it not for Aloha Music Camp going there I wouldn't.

I had no idea the first time I replied to a fellow AMC student that it would go out to about 200 other people. And I'm now friends with loads of people I've never even met

Taropatch has been a true inspiration, and will continue to serve as a source of information, not to mention a feeling of community. Please keep up the great service Andy!

My work has kept me away from playing and enjoying TP regularly. I have time to scan the active posts and review those that interest. I stay away from social media for security reasons so TP is just as relevant and useful as the day I joined.

Peter always has relevant comments and SirDuke keeps me in stitches.

Most important, how would we know about how to pray for those we care about when they need it most and we live so far from Hawaii?

Taropatch is a real family of sorts. We have squabbles and disagreements but we wouldn't be here and read the posts if we didn't care about the music and each other.

Keep up the tremendous work.
