Mark Hanson has an excellent Slack Key Instruction book with many Led, Sonny, and Ray transcriptions.

MARK HANSON FINGERSTYLE GUITAR WORKSHOPS Saturday, February 12 - 10:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.
Location: Trabuco Presbyterian Church
31802 Las Amigas Dr. (off Plano Trabuco) Trabuco Canyon in Orange County - (949) 589-5110

WORKSHOP #1: Fingerstyle Guitar for Sunday (& other days of the week!)
- 10:30 a.m.
I have spent many years playing in a variety of churches, including Trabuco Pres. This workshop includes a number of my lovely fingerstyle arrangements of liturgical tunes. Included are the haunting Quaker hymn “How Can I Keep From Singing” and a very playable version of “Morning Has Broken.” Fingerstylists of all levels are welcome. Fee: $40.

WORKSHOP #2: Higher Level Fingerstyle Guitar (1:30 p.m.) In this workshop I teach two of my fanciest “show-off” tunes, and the techniques necessary to play them. Included are my involved (!) arrangements of Big Bill Broonzy’s “Shuffle Rag” and Duke Ellington’s “Take the ‘A’ Train.” Plenty of new techniques for even upper level players. These will keep you busy till my next trip to Southern California! Fee: $40.

Special Price: $70.00 if you attend both workshops.
