Well, we had a wonderful time at Hale Neeej, the kanikapila was great fun and all the new people we met were so talented. It was a real treat to see Kalae, as his jaw dropped when he saw us upon coming in the door. He must have thought he was suddenly back in Santa Cruz, CA, because that's where we take lessons from him. He did not expect to see us in the Seattle area...
Jean, your hospitality was superb. It made for a fun day in a hectic 5 day trip, and it was much appreciated.
One of the great things about kanikapilas is that you play songs you might not normally, and you learn new ones when others bring them to the forefront. Great fun!
Thanks again, Jean, and aloha to everyone we met there!

Aloha e Noeau,
I think it's Alice and Earl from Boise this time. But I'm checking out the possibility of a kitchen pass for myself that Saturday...

OK, Rich - you got me stumped on this one...
Sorry we couldn't make it, but the last weekend before New Year's is ALWAYS committed to heavy-duty household cleaning for us. (Maybe WE are the ones who should be "always committed.") |

According to my Hawaiian Dictionary, it means "energy". Like there was good energy at the kani. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Mahalo |
