Well, prolly at least a 3-hr trip---each way. Whether that's too long is up to you And that's not across the state---need 'nother 4-6 hours fo dat ('pending on roads taken & legality of driving)

Auwe! I get gig in Olympia dat evening! Play some for me. This Wednesday at Coulon Beach Park, Renton, at 7pm, Happy Hans Music plays for an hour, if anyone wants a slight change. My other musical persona is being one of Hans' helpers.

Hili...wherever you are! What's up with the 17th? Let us poor ukers and slackers know if we need to keep practicing! Fingers are sore, vocal chords strained, can't think of a name for the group...heck we can't even decide what to wear...now we're starting to worry that we'll drive all the way up Mauna Hili and there won't be anything to eat...auwe! Plus...we need your voice badly, cuz they keep making me do all the singing when you're not there :)

Don

PS: Thanks Jean, for hosting another wonderful evening of music!

Aloha,

Sorry all for disappearing again. I was on a last minute biz trip to Toronto over the last couple days and had to work yesterday too.

The Luau is still on for next week. Unfortunately it ain't going to be the really big thing I wanted it to be due to the fact that I got stuck in Manila for a month and could not get my stuff together. But lets talk about the big one for the future when you are here next week. Maybe for Thanksgiving?

We will still have really good Hawaiian food dough, and I think the format will be our usual Kanikapila unless you guys want to bring mics and stuff - up to you - I just really miss playing with you all and was bummed I couldn't come yesterday - I'm sure you all had a great time.

For the party next Sunday,

Come up starting at say 1 pm or so. I will provide the food and I will have a bunch of drinks too, really - no need to bring anything, but if you have something special you like to drink pls bring it along.

We're going to have Squid Luau, chicken long rice, Kalua pig, lomi salmon, aku poki, maybe raw crab if I can find the crab, lau lau, poi, rice, potato mac salad, haupia cake ........... yum - I can't wait!!!!!

Hope you can all make it.

Pls let me know if you plan to come so I can make sure I have enough food (mostly so that I don't have too much food). Bring your friends and family too if you like - just let me know how many.

I miss you guys!

Aloha.

Hili

I'm sorry you haven't had much time off, but don't make it too fancy, I just want to play music.

I'll be there for sure . . . Joy's got another function to attend, but we're trying to figure out how to get here there for at least a bit.

Aha, Greg . . . that IS the question!

You go up, then up, then up, then turn, then go up some more. Actually, there a few more turns than that . . .

I'm sure Hili will explain it much better . . .

:) Don
