The Hawai`i County Parks & Recreation, Culture & Arts Division 'Ukulele Program will present its 2nd 'ukulele workshop at the Hawai`i Naniloa Hotel: The specific details are:

Date: Saturday, May 6, 2006
Time: 8:30 a.m. Registration
9:30 - 2:45 p.m. - Workshops I, II, and III
12: 15 - 1:30 p.m. - Lunch
3:00 pm. - 3:30 p.m. - Wrap Up Jam Session
Skill level – For ‘ukulele players with some experience and a lot of passion for the ‘ukulele!All attendees will attend all 3 workshops and will be split in two different tracks:

Track 1

Workshop I -9:30 - 10:45 a.m. - "Picking and Basic Lead Work on 'Ukulele" - Brittni Paiva, instructor

Workshop II -11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - "Playing with Chords" - Benny Chong, Instructor

Workshop III - 1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - "Concepts in Coloring Chords and Progressions" - Byron Yasui, instructor

Track II -

Workshop III - 9:30 - 10:45 - Byron Yasui

Workshop I - 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 pm. - Brittni Paiva

Workshop II - 1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - Benny Chong

Cost: Not set in stone, but ranging in the $50 ballpark (hopefully less)

Registration will begin from mid-March – mid April, 2006
