BEGINNING WORKSHOP: Learning the Basics Herb will be teaching from his new instructional book, Discovering The ‘Ukulele. You'll learn how to tune your ‘ukulele, learn the finger board, learn how to play and understand scales, strumming and picking techniques, and if time allows, learn ‘Pua Lililehua’- Herb Ohta Junior style!
INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP: Learn arpeggios, finger style picking techniques, picking vamps, more sophisticated strumming techniques and learn how to improvise using major scales. Learn ‘Over the Rainbow’ by learning tab and notation. Attendees MUST know major scales and your finger board, and and have an understanding of the chromatic scale.
