Does anyone have details about the much-rumored Cyril Pahinui music camp?

| I live on the Big Island and I have seen no publicity here. And with less than 4 months to promote it there is still no web site about it. Lord knows why, but it was rumored to be scheduled in December at exactly the same time as Keoki's Hawaiian music camp. My guess is that they have rescheduled it to show their aloha to the Kahumoku ohana. Shirley and I are very fond of Cyril and had a wonderful time jamming with him last winter at Keoki's Camp. |

I've got a point of contact checking on it.
The only reference I found was on Dennis Kamakahi's web site on his calendar page. I had posted that info previously on this thread: http://www.taropatch.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5387

I heard that it was scheduled the week before Keoki's camp. I suppose one of us could try to reach Cyril. Or Keoki.

Still no word on Uncle Cyril's camp? I'm looking forward to seeing you December/November at Keoki's!

I am on the mailer for Kahilu Theatre, and I believe Cyril will be at their Slack Key & Uke Institute in November. The line up is looking a little thin compared to previous years, but Cyril and the Kamakahis are scheduled to be there.

I talked to Chelle (Cyril's wife) last week, who said she'd email me details of his music camp (scheduled for late November).

| Very confusing. The registration link from Auntie Maria is for classes in July, not November. Also hard to recognize who's teaching from the tiny pictures. Thought the Naalehu theater was closed. More info? Who's teaching hula? |

Aloha!
Cyril's Workshop will be held throughout the week here on the Big Island beginning today at 10a.m. in Waimea, tommorrow at Puuanahulu and Friday at Heeia in Keauhou with a concert jam on the makai lawn of Uncle Billy's Kona Inn Restaurant Saturday 2:30 p.m.
