Here is Konabob doing some nice steel guitar work at the Hulihe'e Palace in Kona.

This video reminded me that some of us from the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Assn had performed from that stage back in 1990's. It was an awesome site from which to play. We also played at numerous restaurants in Kailua Kona. On one trip to Kailua, Jerry Byrd played with us.

The HSGA would conduct its main convention every other year in Waikiki and always go to an outer Island at each convention time to promote the Hawaiian Steel Guitar. We would feature one Island at each convention time. It reached significant numbers of people because we would play in malls, different restaurants, retirement and nursing homes for the older people and special places like Hulihe'e Palace, Hawaiian Village, Ala Wai Club, etc.

Aloha,
Kona
